The Collegiate Division of KTA is committed to promoting the incredible theatrical achievements and the hard work of our dedicated theatre artists studying and working at the collegiate level across the state. We provide opportunities for faculty, staff, and students to hone their skills, collaborate with each other, and connect with professional companies throughout the state and the larger region through our association with SETC.
At our Annual Conference, student actors can participate in our SETC State Screening Auditions, the first step in securing summerstock employment while still in school and full-time contracts post-graduation. In addition, students attending the Annual Conference may partake in our Workshop Series to develop and practice their theatre skills as well as the various networking events we offer, putting them face-to-face with representatives from professional and semiprofessional companies throughout the state. And of course, student members can access our Audition and Job Board as well as our Membership Forum to share ideas and engage is discussion with theatre artists from across the state.
For faculty and staff in our Collegiate Division, we provide several opportunities to connect with high school students throughout Kentucky in order to promote your program to potential students. At our Annual Conference, we invite you to register for our College/University Fair, giving you an opportunity to meet face-to-face with students, audition actors, and conduct portfolio reviews. Faculty can also apply to present workshops during our regional and state High School Festival, a great opportunity to promote your program to potential students, and join our Board of Directors, an excellent way to support the arts and earn service hours toward your tenure review.
